Among the many major festivities in the Santa Cruz de Coimbra calendar, the patron saint of the congregation – Saint Augustine – is celebrated in style on 28 August.
This project proposes a reconstruction of the musical diversity of a vespers service for Saint Augustine, bringing together little-known works held by the General Library of the University of Coimbra and starting with a set of five previously unpublished psalms by Dom Pedro de Cristo (c.1550-1618).
